The guest this time made her professional
debut at the young age of twelve and has grown into an
award-winning, acclaimed violinist.
Owning all of Mariko Senju's albums, whenever Kyouka
Kanayama creates her Aromas, she never fails to do so
while listening to music of matching energy. Bach is one
of the most important composers for this reason and Ms.
Senju is impressively talented at the master composer's
music.
Spinning music into a delicate, passionate and
miraculous sound, the show introduced listeners to the
feeling created by Ms. Senju's violin. Strong, sublime
energy filled the studio as the violinist created

Situated in Nihonbashi, the heart of
Tokyo, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel is one of the
capital's most stylish locales. The head chef, Hidemasa
Yamamoto, was this broadcast's guest.
Kyouka and Yamamoto met some twenty years ago while
Kyouka was active as an art dealer in Los Angeles and
New York. Kyouka met the chef through her uncle's
introduction while he was working at The Jockey Club in
the Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C. She became an instant
fan after sampling his cuisine.
Those who have the opportunity to taste Yamamoto's
exquisite flavors are filled with bliss. His ability to
create enjoyment in life is in sync with Kyouka's own
activities and their energetic conversation was filled
with deep insights. |

This guest this time was Mr. Hideaki Tokunaga, a close friend of Kyouka who has turned out many hit songs as a singer-songwriter such as “Rainy Blue” and “Kagayakinagara.” He was diagnosed with the Moya Moya disease (a rare blockage of the blood vessels to the brain) about four years ago and had to stop his activities for a year and a half to recover. However, he overcame that experience to release the cover album “Vocalist” which reached 5th place on the Oricon music charts (Japanese equivalent of the Billboard charts) when the album first went on sale. This dense one hour talk with Kyouka overflowed with courage and hope as he revealed many experiences for the first time. |
