A happening in the tranquil passage of time that spurred me to thought |
After the meeting
in December, I flew to Nice and then to Monaco. I had some business in Grasse,
but I stayed in Monaco and decided to drive for about an hour up to Grasse. I
requested to stay at my usual Hotel de Paris, but someone had reserved the entire
hotel for a party! (so typical of Monaco!)
So, I stayed at Hotel Hermitage. ‘Hermitage' means ‘refuge',
and as its name suggests, it was located on a quiet side street. It was a hotel
where you could spend a quiet, peaceful time. The photo was taken from the room
I stayed in, which had a balcony overlooking the harbor. Beyond the harbor, there
is the Palace of Monaco. It was winter but very warm, and I was on the balcony
in short sleeves.

This chair is from
the balcony at the hotel restaurant. Close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting
on that chair. People who attend my energy work, it is as if you were transported
to that balcony while wrapped in that soft scent and energy you feel during the
sessions. Can you feel it? Can't you just see the view from the balcony, smell
the scents, feel the energy of Monaco?

Southern France has a very laid
back atmosphere. There was no rushing, no getting grumpy…just time passing by
slowly. However, something did happen to spur me to thought…. It was at the luxurious
spa annex called Les Thermes Marines de Monte Carlo at the Hotel Hermitage.
The atmosphere, including the interior, shower rooms, and so on was superb. However,
the esthetician was not good at all, and most of all, the people who were visiting…
They may be the types of people that are called “celebrities” today, but from
the Kyouka school's point of view, they did not display an elegance appropriate
to the place. |
